The current licensees undertook a major refurbishment and in doing so have made the pub a very nice place to visit. Located at the head of the Garw Valley this is a classic, friendly old-style valleys local, popular with darts and pool teams and always busy on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sunday lunchtimes for great home made pub grub (12-8, 12-3 on Sundays). The famous Welsh hymn Calon Lan was written upstairs.
